Lendo o livro 📖 "Memoirs of Nikita Khrushchev" uma cena chamou-me atenção. ⬇️

A total 10-year fishing ban now applies in the pivotal waters of the Yangtze, China's longest river, starting on Friday, according to the central government strategy. Image
Urbanization and shipping along the Yangtze River have resulted in the decrease or loss of marine ecosystems for decades. According to an expert, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides have also contributed to the river's contamination.
Also situated in the middle reaches of the river, Hunan Province closed and demolished all 39 illegal wharves along the mainstream Yangtze River while restoring the ecological ecosystem there. About 1,300 hectares of forest have also been planted by the province along the river.

Take a look upstream at China's 2nd largest dam #XiluoduDam 😲#

This is a 2020 image and it looks like work has taken place in an attempt to buttress it.

This thing is HUGE! At around 940 ft high and 700m wide, it holds back 12,670,000,000 cubic metres of water in a 200 km long reservoir.

China has a long history of corruption leading to poor construction standards and failure of capital projects.

The consistency and accurate pouring of concrete should be tightly controlled in such projects. This site looks to be shoddy, dirty and unkempt #XiluoduDam Image
