"č害ę®ŗ害čØē»," literally translated as "The Master Plan to Kill the Old Guards," was the title of the book promised by a Tokyo-based right-wing publisher a year ago in May 25, 2022 to now worldly famous (or infamous) professor #YusukeNarita, @YaleEconomics Assistant Professor. 
Although Narita wrote in his email response to @nytimes that his comments "primarily concerned" the "tycoons" who remain in control of various industries, he did not make the distinction when aging in rural villages was being discussed. He proposed the same solution.
So it is safe to assume that his "only solution" applies not only to the "old guards" but also to the common elderly who "may become harm to society," which is what the wording "č害" stands for; a harm brought on to the society by gerontocracy. So how will distinction be made?

@Yale Assistant Prof. Narita later said in an interview that he was only being āmetaphorical,ā that he meant for the elderlies to ādepartā on its own to make ways to their privileged position. But thatās NOT how you use the term #éå£čŖę±ŗ (mass suicide).

The term he used āéå£čŖę±ŗā was commonly used during wartime for forced mass suicide by the Japanese Imperial Army, especially in #Okinawa. In other words, it is NOT a self-initiated suicide but one that is forced upon from those in power.

This is how he actually spoke on this āsolutionā on a live TV news show #ABEMANews while asserting earlier that it is superfluous to present a āsolutionā to a problem by blaming something without any logic or reason. Later, he said the āsolutionā is to ELIMINATE the problem.
