Several classical homages here to comics. Let’s start from one that was part of last week’s thread with Superman lying in space at the beginning of the scene and how it looks like Injustice: Gods Among Us #33.
Then we get Batman saved by Wonder Woman as it is common in the Snyderverse. She has a very classical pose from the comics. And there might be several references in here. I really like how it looks like from Trinity #6 (which actually took place after #BvS).

This one is going to be a two-parter. There are so many people that have analyzed homages in this battle that in Part 1 (today) I wanted to share some references that I really like (from others) and add a few myself.
Part 2 (next week) will focus on the most relevant part of the scene, when Batman snaps out of his PTSD by Superman’s words about Martha. There is an interesting connection to a DC comic there that deserves its own deep dive. But I won’t say more since, well spoilers 😂.

I want to start first by referencing a comic that has tons of inspiration from Batfleck in the Snyderverse in a #ZackSnyderistheblueprint moment. This run is The Batman’s Grave which came out in 2019.
Right out of the bat (pun intended) we can observe that the Batmobile in this comic is heavily inspired by the one created for #BatmanvSuperman.

First, we have Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne which looks similar (once more) to Bruce Wayne in Batman: The Animated Series (I think @KnightFleck spotted this one).
We also have Bruce and Alfred’s discussion on Bruce war on Superman (with the famous Dick Cheney’s quote). While not exactly the same, Alfred is the voice of reason when Batman and Demian Wayne fight in Injustice 2 #22 and #23.

Let’s first start with Batman’s Knightmare outfit. This resembles Batman: The Cult #4 images. But this has also become a #ZackSnyderistheblueprint moment as it was used in Batman: The Detective #1 and Batman #34 (Rebirth) recently.
The parademon design (and Apokoliptian worlds) also has a hint of Kingdom Come designs.
