The reason we had wanted to do this in December is because that's when rail companies across Europe introduce their new timetables, and we wanted to test if these new, faster rail services do work as greener replacements for flights
We will run the experiment on 5 routes
Berlin - Bonn - Berlin
Zürich - München - Zürich
Hamburg - Frankfurt - Hamburg
Frankfurt - Brussels - Frankfurt
Berlin - München - Berlin
Berlin - Bonn - Berlin

OK, so here's the idea for #ZugGegenFlug in Germany
Send two passengers on each of 5 routes (BER-MUC, BER-FRA, BER-Bonn, HAM-FRA, HAM-MUC), one on a train, one on a plane - and see who manages it fastest

The idea is essentially a German version of today's @seatsixtyone vs. @SimonCalder race in the UK today
