We've given the data + talking points over and over again and there's not really a way around it at this point. Either you're with Black folks' demands for #abolition + the decriminalization of the ways we survive, or you're not. Policing/jails inflict sexual and gender violence-
Don't miss this. Cops are resigned because their peers are receiving consequences for harming citizens. Not over the harm itself. But because *they see it as their job to harm citizens*. Their argument is that is what they were sent out to do and they resent being punished for it

A lot of criminal justice researchers know firsthand — we get paid big $$$ through grants from various govt bodies and private funders who pay millions of $ a year in the stated efforts of reforming the criminal justice system.
A few of these same "reform" funders also fund workshops pushing cities to build new jails, fly military drones to provide police with aerial footage of majority-Black cities, or boost further hiring of police nationwide in the middle of protests calling for accountability.
