I’ve got some things to say about this. (THREAD.)

I’m glad to see Kieran put out this absolute PROOF to clear his name from the smear campaign of his abuser, Karlyn Borysenko (@drkarlynb).

But he shouldn’t have needed to. 🧵
Karlyn Borysenko (who is a sexual predator) has been terrorizing this man for months because he declined her sexual advances.

After months of her lunacy, he was forced to release the DM’s. She has since escalated the defamation, vaguely claiming that the messages were “doctored”
It has been months of stalking. 200+ unsolicited emails. A nonstop smear campaign, saying he’s mentally ill, accusing him of everything from being gay (& lots of gay slurs!) to claiming he’s obsessed & in love with her. She’s even tried to file phony police reports against him.

thread in response to k4mil1aa’s thread about johnny depp and amber heard because it’s completely misleading and fails to recognize research on this exact topic, despite trying to frame it as informative.

this study analyzed women’s shelters or participants who said they were abused, which is not representative of community samples. so yes, when a woman is being abused, self-defense may not be uncommon, but that’s not what we’re talking about, Image
because the subject at hand is talking about a man being a victim, not to mention that when a man is a victim people commonly excuse the woman’s violence by saying it was self-defense, which contradicts studies showing the opposite. ImageImageImage

Writers must be held accountable for what they write & say. Words have power. If we fail to combat their rhetoric, then we are condoning it.

Mary Gaitskill, Substack’s writer in residence, denigrates male domestic violence & Mr. Depp in this interview. I will not remain silent.
Clearly Mary Gaitskill didn't watch the Depp v Heard trial and the overwhelming evidence Ms. Heard is a violent perpetrator of abuse, and 6 years of malicious false allegations that impacted Mr. Depp, his family, & all genuine victims/survivors of abuse.
The vitriol Amber Heard is facing is b/c she violently abused a man, then made malicious, heinous false accusations of domestic & sexual violence against him. It's justified. Amber Heard must be held accountable, the same way a man in this circumstance would be held accountable.

Roberta Kaplan, Amber Heard's former attorney, who co-founded the #TimesUp legal defense fund in the wake of the #MeToo movement, submitted her resignation in August 2021, after nefarious conduct in the organization was revealed. She still supports Amber Heard.
Roberta Kaplan & the author of this heinous opinion piece Jessica Bennett are misandrists/4th-wave feminists with a political agenda that discounts a male victim of abuse, Johnny Depp, & the malicious false allegations a unanimous jury found defamatory.
Ms. Heard, whether Ms. Kaplan or Ms. Bennett want to accept it, via evidence was proven to be the sole perpetrator of domestic violence & malicious false allegations. Ms. Heard deserves the public outrage she is enduring for what she's done. She should be held accountable.

@washingtonpost This article should be free.
@NHCADSV This is what Owen Labrie was subjected to...cruel, horror. He lost $30lbs in the course of two months.
Thank you @susanzalkind for helping put Owen Labrie in solitary. Glad it helped your career.

washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/…
The only reason Owen Labrie was "notorious" @susanzalkind is because you decided to make him notorious because you were acting as an agent for Concord Police, NHCADSV & Prosecutors who needed a scapegoat for their political prize. #AbuseHasNoGender

Amanda de Cadenet must be held accountable for her complicity in Amber Heard malicious false allegations hoax. She knew multiple times, starting with Amber Heard attending her birthday party 5/22/16, that she was lying about 5/21/16, yet she said nothing.
Amanda de Cadenet is a misandrist/4th-wave feminist and a proponent of the #MeToo movement. She willingly, knowingly was complicit in perpetuating Amber Heard malicious false allegation hoax for her own nefarious agenda, through #Girlgaze, which she founded and her podcast.
Amanda de Cadenet is a perpetrator of Amber Heard's malicious false allegations, and she is a coward. Scheduled to testify on behalf of Ms. Heard in the UK trial, she suddenly backed out of testifying after the first Audio recordings were released to the Daily Mail in 2020.

Johnny Depp was #FalselyAccused & vilified in the media. He has had his life & reputation torn apart by his ex-wife, Amber Heard, & less than half of the people who knew something came forward to defend him. We need to change that.

It's time to speak up.

#JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Many people have interacted with, worked with, known and/or dated Amber Heard. This thread is appealing to those who once knew/know her to come forward and speak up. To bring truth to light if they know anything thay could help Johnny get his justice and get Amber to STOP.
#JasonMomoa

Costar and "friend" to Amber Heard throughout the filming of Aquaman, I think this man knows more than he's saying and though follow Johnny Depp in solidarity during the trial is HUGE, it's not enough IF he does, in fact, know something that can help.

I have something to share.

I was a victim of domestic & sexual abuse by a former partner over a period of 3 years.

Unfortunately, the Police have investigated and are unable to charge them despite medical records & witness statements

It leaves a hollow feeling if I'm honest.
2/ It took me a long time to face up to it because if the stigma.

I'm sharing my story in the hope that men who've been Domestic Abuse victims know that it's ok to speak up.

It's NOT an embarrassment, it's NOT your fault.

NEVER be afraid to talk about it.

You will be heard
3/ I can honestly say, although my abuser seems to have gotten away with it, it made such a difference in reporting it.

A weight was lifted and the stigma I thought it would bring, didn't happen.

Don't have to go to the Police if you aren't comfortable, but do talk to someone.
