Studies included participants aged 9-18 years old. Sample was 43% White, 16% Hispanic/Latinx, 9% Biracial/Multiracial, 8% Black, 2.5% Asian, 1.5% other, 20.5% missing; the international studies did not collect ethnic/racial identity information. 2/

My 14-year-old son attends a boys' school in @LBofBexley school which has a large percentage of boys from a disadvantaged background and without many positive role models. So I approached the deputy head and asked to invite successful Black men who could be positive role models.
Those men were from various occupations to show the boys a range of careers out there. I chose year 9 boys because most of them were choosing their options and didn't know what to do. I invited a solicitor, a business analyst, a forex trader /2 times cancer survivor, magistrate.
I also invited an entrepreneur who had previously attended that school. These sessions took place over 6 month period during assembly. The feedback received: thank you so much for the programme of speakers you arranged to deliver presentations in our Year 9 assemblies this year.
