1/ CNN on Ethiopia
Season 1 - The CNN TPLF Marriage
CNN published around 60 articles on the Tigray Conflict from Nov 3 to date. We all know about their biased reporting and clear support for #TPLFTerroristGroup but check these facts out
2/ CNN actively developed 9 editorials between Nov 5 & Nov 13 and 0 for the rest of the month with the exception of 2 on Mai Kadra they couldn’t ignore on the 22nd and the 26th. Coincidentally, @reda_getachew went offline since Nov 15th
3/ He stayed offline for 3½ months till end of Feb except two tweets on 4th and 22nd of Dec. During 3½ months CNN made ONLY 4 articles related to the war. Coincidentally, both the resumption of CNN’s active reporting & @reda_getachew|s twitter comeback happened March 1.

1/The Western media complex is engaging in Information Laundering in #Ethiopia. Information Laundering is the process of legitimizing information garnered from unreliable/biased/shady sources, such as TMH, Crisis Group, SAHAN, WPF(Alex de Waal), @martinplaut and #TPLF sources.
2/There are at least nine major media outlets & ten journalists that are leading this campaign of Information Laundering: @bbc @cnn @ap @reuters
@bloomberg @nytimes @wapo
@guardian @telegraph. For today I will focus on BBC and Vivienne Nunis.
3/Since June 2021, @bbc have produced 15 news articles and opinion pieces re #Ethiopia. Of these, 6 were written by @vivnunis and 2 were written by Alex de Waal.

It is time for a change of subject, a reset in the Tigray war narrative, which has been manufactured from day one.

It is apparent this will not come via the Media nor the international community who have decided to make their bed with the TPLF.
So we will have to do this ourselves. And I have a plan.
But I will not be able to do this alone and am calling on the Ethiopian twitter community, especially those of you who are journalists to assist.

This @EthioHRC statement tells us that the #Galicoma #GaleKoma #Galikoma #AfarMassacre - in which 250 civilians including 107 children are thought to have been killed by TPLF fighters - occurred a day earlier than I previously thought, on August 5th.
This was on the day of @PowerUSAID's brief visit to Ethiopia.
@PowerUSAID None of the U.S. big Foreign Policy big hitters, @PowerUSAid, @StateDeptSpox, @SecBlinken nor @JakeSullivan have even acknowledged that this event, which became public knowledge on August 6th-7th has occurred. Among international media only @AJArabic has reported in any depth.

On Friday. 6th Aug as the Galicoma Medical Center #AfarMassacre was reported TPLF propaganda account @Galaxy2Galaxy5 reflexively denied the medical center even existed & claimed that the ENDF was responsible. Now @reda_getachew is claiming the same thing. Image
@Galaxy2Galaxy5 @reda_getachew Here is the thread @Galaxy2Galaxy5 thread got involved in. He has deleted his final tweets in which he was claiming a Google search for Galicoma Medical Center showed only one result which he claimed proved it didn't exist.
A archive of the thread featuring takedown from @miskeenwa, @aseb2aden and @QafarMedia the last of which which posted the initial reports of the massacre.

@Galaxy2Galaxy5 initially leans on US news reports (@nytimes) and statements from @PowerUSAID to dismiss the incident. ImageImageImageImage

This is what the IC want. And yet the IC remains muted, almost silent as 250 are killed in #AfarMassacre

@UNSG @StateDept @eu_eeas

A new democracy was born on summer solstice. But eight months earlier a group of malignant thugs with a long history of malignant thuggery....
... including many commanders of the armed forces who had sworn to be loyal to their lawful Govt. attacked their fellow soldiers in Ethiopia's National Defence Force stole heavy armaments and massacred an unknown number of their fellow soldiers.
The US Govt. initially condemned the rebellion, but changed their tune fairly quickly as it became clear that the ruthless thugs who they had supported for nearly three decades had not been quickly defeated as claimed.

This thread contains the outlines of a massacre that didn't happen in Afar on 24th June, yet still resulted in numerous deaths in Djbouti today, just after #AfarMassacre

@aseb2aden tells the extraordinary story of Gadamaytu to a confused Western Journalist.
This is a sub-thread about the events on 24th June which you get to towards at the end. Its possibly easier to understand the story if you start above though.
And this thread from @QafarMedia covers the fatal shootings today in Djbouti which were the ultimate consequence of what happened at Gadamaytu on June 24th.
