Breaking: The return #AFCON 2024 qualifier between the @AmavubiStars and #Benin’s Cheetahs, scheduled for Monday 27th March, hangs in the balance, over a venue dispute. 
@RChipenda, @CAF_Online’s Development Director, told @FERWAFA that as a result of inadequate facilities at the venue chosen in Rwanda for the return leg, the Amavubi will have to play their return leg game in Cotonou on Monday.
But rather than wait in Cotonou to play the return leg, as @CAF_Online instructed, the @AmavubiStars returned to Kigali, after the 1-1 draw in the first game played.
Breaking: In an embarrassment for #PatriceMotsepe, the @CAF_Online President, @SAFPU_Official, #SouthAfrica’s Players Union, declare their strong opposition to CAF’s plan for an #AfricanSuperLeague, which will be put before the CAF congress in #Arusha, #Tanzania on August 10th.
In a separate discussion I had with a top executive of @AlAhly @AlAhlyEnglish on Friday, he told me @CAF_Online was yet to give his club “concrete details” of how the Super League proposal will work.
“We were invited to #Cameroon for the last #AFCON, where the preliminary plan for the #AfricanSuperLeague was put to us & selected clubs from across the continent. But no concrete details, on the finances and other important details, have been given, up till now.”

As the @NGSuperEagles file out in their first match against Burundi Saturday, in the African Cup of Nations (#AFCON 2019), holding in Egypt, President Muhammadu Buhari has charged them to play every match for the honour of motherland.
The President urged them to lift the flag of Nigeria high, and reinforce the reputation of the country as football powerhouse on the continent.
