On 14 May, the Afghan newspaper Hasht e Subh Daily reported on its website that the Taliban closed a park and women's market in Samangan.
The park was the only recreation facility and marketplace for women and girls in the province. (2/11)

Elections in Saudi Arabia have been historically rare. Municipal elections were held in 2005 planned for 2009. After 2 years' delay, they were held in 2011. In Sept 2011 King Abdullah granted women the right to vote & stand in the 2015 municipal elections.
