Court hearing just wrapped for #AirHeadLady Maryann Mooney-Rondon. Sentencing memos due in early July.

This case began with the FBI raiding the Alaska home of a woman they believed was AirHeadLady, then the sleuths solved it in 30 minutes and correctly identified Mooney-Rondon.
Mooney-Rondon aided with the left of Pelosi’s laptop, but didn’t actually take it.
“Online investigators went to work after the botched raid to find the right identities and were very quickly able to identify the Rondons.” huffpost.com/entry/capitol-…

Video played at the Riley Williams Jan. 6 trial shows that Capitol rioter David Walls-Kaufman was right there in Nancy Pelosi’s conference room as the laptop was stolen. It also shows he opened the second half of the door so more rioters could come into the conference room.
David Walls-Kaufman was arrested in June about 10 months after he was identified by online sleuths, but has somehow avoided felony charges thus far. nbcnews.com/politics/justi…

Hearing underway for mother-and-son Jan. 6 duo Maryann Mooney-Rondon and Rafael Rondon, aka #AirHeadLady and #AirHeadBoy.

Rafael Rondon is also facing a separate federal charge in New York over the sawed-off shotgun found at their home.
The FBI originally raided the home of an Alaskan woman they mistook for Maryann Mooney-Rondon. After that, online sleuths managed to correctly ID her in about 30 minutes. She and her son were arrested about five months later. Story here: huffpost.com/entry/capitol-…
Plea negotiations are ongoing, but Rafael Rondon’s separate gun case is complicating matters a bit.

In case you missed it: an “Airhead” mother-son team were arrested for storming the Capitol and helping raid Pelosi’s office. They were identified by online sleuths nearly five months ago:
Here’s the indictment of Rafael Rondon (aka #AirheadBoy) over his sawed-off shotgun.

That case is on a much different track than Jan. 6 cases, because it’s in northern NY. Jury Trial already theoretically set for November 29 **checks notes** 2021. Image

The sprawling FBI probe into the Capitol attack of Jan. 6 is unprecedented. Some degree of errors are inevitable.

But the FBI just made a very seriously blunder in Alaska that could have been avoided with open-source photos alone.

On the left is FBI Capitol suspect no. 225, aka #airheadlady. On the right is a publicly available image of Marilyn Hueper from her husband’s Instagram page, which was cited in the FBI affidavit. Do they look like they could be sisters? Sure. But they are not the same person.
Check the hairline, check the ears, check the nose, check the jawline, check the chin. It’s not a match, and it illustrates how easy it can be to keep your blinders up when you think you work backwards from a conclusion. huffpost.com/entry/fbi-capi…
