In March 2020, the spread of COVID-19 necessitated the Department of the Air Force to rapidly expand teleworking capabilities and changed the landscape of telework and remote work opportunities within our force.
#Airmen, today the @USAirForce released updated guidance on the use of telework and remote work for all civilian employees and service members worldwide. Position eligibility is determined by the squadron commander, or equivalent, with input from supervisors.
Commanders, or equivalent, will consider the nature of the work performed, & assess whether permitting telework or remote work would diminish the ability to perform successfully or negatively impact the mission.

I subscribe to the practice of leading and delegating by providing #Airmen three things. Providing my #intent, providing the #authority to get the work done, and providing the #tools to get the work done.
Iterate often and early. Have the meeting after the meeting, in the meeting…If my delegating includes telling people *how* to do the work, I’ve missed opportunities for #Airmen to surprise me with #innovation.
With each leadership opportunity I've had during my @usairforce career, I've been extremely honored, blessed, & proud...today is no exception.
