The one thing I'll say at this moment: #ALeagueOfTheirOwn is not a small or niche show. The audience is domestic, but our understanding is that it's very big. It has outperformed many other shows that have been renewed. Journalists, please stop reinforcing the narrative ...
... That POC/Queer shows are inherently niche or small if you don't have data. That narrative is racist and homophobic and all the other stuff. Please cover these things with some thought and care.

Fascinating to see #ALeagueOfTheirOwn having highest week of online engagement 7 months after release, with no new push from @PrimeVideo. It's beautiful to see new people who continue to find the show. People should be paying attention, this isn't normal.

Man. I was SO wrong about #LeagueOfTheirOwn I have a weird relationship with the movie where I appreciate a lot about it but don't really like it, and I feared this would be the same...also my bar for "too saccharine" and "too earnest" is very low...so yeah, I was nervous...
...but I definitely want to support more great female driven, more queer driven, and more diversity driven content...so it felt like something I should at least try. Also, big fan of Abbi Jacobson and realizing she was not only starring in, but creating/writing was big...
...and...well...I absolutely love it. I'm 5 episodes in & it's absolutely charming and delightful -- emotional but well balanced & genuinely funny. It's honestly just terrific and seeing the variety of queer representation is just...well, soul restoring comes to mind.
