Dear @AOC /#AOC, my takeaway from your recent IGTV update is that even you can't believe you're endorsing a status quo candidate like @JoeBiden / #JoeBiden. I invite you to learn about my independent POTUS campaign to build a nation where We the People truly means #AllThePeople.
I released this 9 minute video when I launched my campaign in May of 2019. It explains my analysis of the challenges our nation faces and my vision to address them.

I am the only candidate whose platform calls for the abolishment of slavery and the honoring of treaties and my First 100 Days Plan is to remove the racist, sexist and white supremacist language from the US Constitution.

The #TwoPartyDuopoly has worked together for decades to erect a mighty #FortressOfProtection. The #2020Election may be an unprecedented opportunity to break right through it.

This is our original depiction of the duopoly's fortress. The first slide shows the structural barriers (exclusionary debates being one of those). The second slide shows how these concrete barriers are reinforced by various barriers of perception. 2/ The Problem: Two-Party Duopoly protected by a fortress it haThe Problem: The fortress is reinforced by barriers of perce
It's hard to argue which type of barrier is stronger, & the reality is they are mutually reinforcing. When the media goes along with a phony narrative that the CPD is a legitimate institution working in the public interest, that has a powerful impact on perceptions. 3/

Every year on 9/11 our nation pauses to remember those who lost their lives in the horrific terror attacks that took place 19 years ago today. Many of us can think back to that morning of #September11, 2001 & remember exactly where we were when the attacks occurred.
Thread: 1/10
Over the past 19 years our nation has collectively experienced and expressed a gamut of emotions including: grief, honor, fear, outrage, borderline panic, remembrance, #NeverForget and #DemandJustice.

As a citizen of the United States of America and the son of a military veteran, I honor and remember those who lost their lives due to terror 19 years ago today.

White supremacy is so systemic in the United States that in #Election2020 it literally has #BIPOC and other marginalized people repeating the mantra that "if you don't vote for a white, land-owning male from the one percent (I.e. #JoeBiden) you are throwing your vote away."
I am the only candidate in #Election2020 whose platform includes abolishing slavery, honoring treaties & removing the racism, sexism & white supremacy from the Constitution. Neither #JoeBiden or #DonaldJTrump have any intention of addressing our problems at a foundational level.
If we want change, real change, systemic change, then we need to take the courageous step of running and voting outside the two party system of #DEMS & #GOP. That system exists to maintain the status quo.

The primary reason my campaign for #AllThePeople struggles to be seen as viable is because most Americans, including women and POC, believe the lie that only a white land-owning male from the one percent can help them. What else do you think #MAGA & #VoteBlueNoMatterWho means.
My first 100 Days plan is to remove the racism, sexism and white supremacy from the US Constitution. I have a plan to abolish slavery and honor treaties. Neither @JoeBiden nor @realDonaldTrump even come close to addressing our foundational level problems like my campaign does.
The speakers at both of their conventions droned on & on about how Joe is going to "restore the soul of America" & Donald is going to Make America Great Again (again). But neither have a clue what to do about the systemic racism, sexism & white supremacy that plagues our nation.

I believe that healthcare is a right not a privilege and my policies include abolishing slavery, honoring treaties and removing the racism, sexism and white supremacy from the US Constitution.
I invite you to read (preferably out loud) my proposed edits/amendments to the US Constitution. These are changes that I believe virtually all Americans can support (making passage by Congress and ratification by the states very possible).

My campaign is expecting that I will be a write-in candidate in 36-38 states and my name will be on the ballot in 3-5 states. This means we anticipate that in 41 states (including DC) people will be able to vote for me for President!

The biggest challenge facing our campaign is not having a better vision (my plan to build a nation where We the People truly means #AllThePeople runs circles around Trump's #MAGA or Biden's #ImNotTrump).
Thread: 1/3
Nor is our biggest challenge being contextual (in the midst of a national debate on #BLM and criminal justice reform, I am the only candidate who is actually calling for the complete abolishment of slavery - which the 13th Amendment keeps legal in prison).
2/3
The biggest challenge facing our campaign is convincing people that change can come from some place other than the white, land-owning men who control the DEMS & GOP. Overcoming the complacency & hopelessness bred by the two party system is by far our campaign's biggest challenge.

My campaign has seen growing interest from supporters of @AndrewYang. I've done a few podcasts hosted by members of his #YangGang (#NerdsForYang & #YangGangRoundTable) and they've gone well. I'm grateful for the interest in my independent campaign for #AllThePeople.
Here is the @nerdsforyang podcast (now #NerdsForHumanity) featuring my campaign.

We cannot build a nation where "we the people" truly means "all the people" until we de-center whiteness. Here's a thread where I break down what that means and why #allthepeople is at the core of my campaign.
De-centering whiteness does not mean oppressing white people — but when you're a white land-owning man who's used to being in the center, being treated as 'normal' might feel oppressive.
Yes, we need to lift up the people at the bottom, but we also need to LOWER the people at the top so that we can all have an eye-to-eye conversation. Turning "We the people" into #allthepeople is going to mean reducing the status of the white land-owning male.

There are many #Juneteenth celebrations happening today throughout the country and I celebrate with the African American community regarding the end of the dehumanizing practice of chattel enslavement in the southern states on June 19, 1865.
I lament that it took another half a year for USA to ratify the 13th Amendment and end the practice of chattel enslavement completely in the northern states.
I weep that the Thirteenth Amendment doesn't actually abolish slavery but merely redefines and codifies it under the jurisdiction of the criminal justice system... Image

Many who are new to our campaign for #AllThePeople have asked what type of news/media coverage we get. The short answer is, most national media ignore our campaign. But there are a few exceptions. This thread highlights some of the coverage we've gotten in the past year.

The Democratic Party and @JoeBiden are trying to center the frustrations of protesters on @realDonaldTrump, but the problem goes much deeper than that. Let me explain what I mean.
We must deal with the foundations of our country, something that neither @realDonaldTrump or @JoeBiden are interested in doing. They have no problem with the Thirteenth Amendment, the very amendment which has a clause in it codifying slavery under the criminal justice system.
The United States of America is not racist, sexist, and white supremacist in SPITE of our foundations, it’s racist, sexist, and white supremacist BECAUSE of our foundations. That is what we need to change. Let’s change it together. #AllThePeople

President Trump's primarily concern with mail in ballots is not voter fraud, it's that more people will vote.
#MarkCharles2020 #AllThePeople
And the Democrats primary concern with #ThirdParty and #Independent candidates, is that with more (and better) options, less people will vote for #JoeBiden.
Our nation's simplistic two party system exists because white, land-owning men are terrified of actual democracy.

Deconstructing the systemic racism, sexism and white supremacy in our nation will require fixing our foundations and removing both the implicit and explicit influences of the Doctrine of Discovery.
Transforming the USA into a nation where We the People truly means #AllThePeople will be no small task. But I'm running for President (as an independent) because I believe we have an opportunity to make it happen.

Why am I still running for POTUS?
