Before going to bed, just wanted to share what happened in the great #ArabSpring. Many of my friends lived through this people’s revolution & shared their stories of fighting oppression with me. Seems apt for what is happening in #Maharashtra today. 
Sparked by the death of a fruit and vegetable seller in #Tunisia, Mohamed Bouazizi, protesters in neighbouring countries including Egypt, Libya, Syria and Yemen, embraced the idea that they too could make a difference.
#ArabSpring was a series of pro-democracy uprisings that enveloped several countries. The events in these nations began in the spring of 2011, which led to the name. The political & social impact of these popular uprisings remains significant, years after many of them ended.
