Using @hkairport flights data on #Apr30 crawled by @webbhk , it's found that only 34.8 flights/hour at the #HongKong Int'l Airport during regular operation hours (0700-2259). That's 51% of the declared capacity of 2-runway HKIA & 41% as initially designed in 1991. 3rd runway?😅

Using Online Coordination System, we can observe @hkairport's slot availability for summer 2023. Mostly green on #Apr30.

It was always yellow(nearly no slot) and red(no slot) before COVID. Being fully booked was a common thing for the #HongKong airport.

Not for now.

Even in the busiest week in coming August, greens are everywhere.
It shows how the former int'l aviation hub has been lost to other hubs in the region b/c of the late easing of #COVID restrictions, the aftermath of the enactment of National Security Law & lack of attractions.
