The Archimedes Flywheel - lv(πŸ›οΈ,πŸ›οΈ)

Why is it better for everyone involved if Archimedes has more lvUSD liquidity? πŸ€”

πŸ’‘ Answer:

More Leverage.

The more liquidity there is in the lvUSD/3CRV pool on @CurveFinance , the more LEVERAGE can be made available to borrowers.

When we say β€œmore leverage”, we mean two things:

βœ… Ability to open more positions
βœ… Ability to open more positions at a higher multiplier

Archimedes' lv(πŸ›οΈ,πŸ›οΈ) Flywheel works like this πŸ‘‡

Both sides of βš–οΈ Archimedes benefit WHEN the other is doing well.

So, WHEN LPs earn a higher yield, more LPs join the lvUSD pool, AND Archimedes can then raise the leverage cap for more LTs to join.

What I will be covering in this thread:

β€’ What is Archimedes
β€’ How does Archimedes work?
β€’ What makes Archimedes different?
β€’ Where does the yield come from?
β€’ How do LPs earn yield?
β€’ What are origination fees?
β€’ What are performance fees?
β€’ What is the $ARCH token?

How does Archimedes work?

The platform attracts liquidity to its Curve pools by offering high native APY.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my investment in $BTU recently. After having a ten-bagger, I been wondering if I’m not just greedy expecting more. So, I’ve dug deep in analysis. A 🧡1/n
As background I first purchased in early April 2021. I can’t thank @contrarian8888 and @NICKRADICAL4 enough for the idea. Both of these fine gentlemen are world class investors. The former already a legend and the latter a legend in the making. 2/n
Initially the story was very basic, Peabody was an over leveraged company in a depressed industry that was seeing some price stability and significant demand/supply imbalances. As @NICKRADICAL4 pointed out $BTU supplies 1 out of 20 homes in America with its electricity. 3/n

Greetings from South Australia! Due to a COVID-19 cluster the events this week I was planning to tweet from in-person COVID safe events will instead be covered virtually. Because my mum is a high-risk case, I'm happy to be at home to keep the community safe. #StaySafeStayHome
You can normally follow me at @melaniejward. I tweet to help boost events across STEM in #space, #archaeology & #tech, share events I organise as well as interesting news I come across all while balancing #ADHD, #volunteering, job hunting and uni work.

My mask has @ISUnet's logo. I'm a proud scholarship student from this year's @isu_shssp. The masks are also a thank you gift, as part of #ISUNET's scholarship drive to support others attend so they too can recognise their potential in space. #ASC20…
