Three takeaways from the A6 press event:

2⃣We have achieved those milestones, such as the start of the Upper Stage Hot-Firing tests in Lampoldshausen Germany and the full stacking of the #Ariane6 model that will be used for Combined Tests at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.
3⃣This said, the inaugural flight is now planned for Q4 2023. With a project of this magnitude, let me be clear that this is a *planned* date and that the programme will still need to achieve a number of milestones for this schedule to remain valid.
Today, at #IAC2021, I had the honor to present @arianespace’s views on the regulations and best practices that must be implemented in order to cope with the challenges the mega-constellation market. 
We are entering a new era, with more and more satellites above us… By 2030, we could see 27,000 satellites orbiting above our heads.

As spacefans, our job and main responsibility is to make sure that we develop a sustainable use of Space. Collectively, we have to make sure that orbits remain accessible and are cleaned up following operations so satellites can operate in safe conditions…

La semaine dernière, la future table de lancement d’#Ariane6 a été déplacée de sa zone d’assemblage à sa place définitive au Centre Spatial Guyanais. Ce transfert est appelé “ripage”.
Tout d’abord, qu’est-ce qu’une table de lancement ? C’est la structure d’où décolle le lanceur - ici #Ariane6. Et quelle table ! 20 m de long, 18 m de large et 4 m de hauteur pour une masse de 700 tonnes à vide !
