Apropå #ASAPRocky-fallet är det många, inklusive domaren, som menar att afghanens bakgrund, där han är dömd för bl.a misshandel och narkotikabrott, saknar betydelse. Att han är kriminell var ju inget som Asap Rocky kände till och kunde knappast ha påverkat händelsen, menar de.
Jag är väldigt skeptisk till det synsättet. Jag tror faktiskt de flesta kan se skillnad mellan ett påstridigt, men harmlöst, fyllo, och en påtänd tidigare dömd våldsbrottsling som inte drar sig för att använda dödligt våld om han känner för det.
Jag tror dessutom att i synnerhet att Asap Rocky, som växt upp i Harlem och själv sålt droger, ser skillnad mellan någon som är drogpåverkad och någon som inte är det, och de som söker fysisk konfrontation och de som inte gör det.
