Haryana Govt has announced additional pay incentive equal to basic pay of health care workers tackling #Covid_19--doctors, nurses, lab techs, ambulance drivers, safai karmacharis.

Missing in this directive are 20,115 ASHA who are the most frontline workers in the pandemic. Image
Haryana has fixed pay of Rs.4000 per month after a long struggle by ASHAs ( along with central govt. incentives). However, they have not been paid since January 2020. In some districts like Sonepat, not paid since October 2019.
Haryana Govt has now asked #ASHA workers to download an survey app on their android phones. ASHAs have to buy their own phones and spend their own money for internet packs. ASHAs are resisting this move.

The new Andhra government led by @ysjagan has increased the monthly salary of Accredited Social Health Activists (#ASHA) workers in the state to Rs 10,000 from Rs 3,000 as promised in his manifesto.

ASHA workers- a women only cadre in India’s Community Health Workforce- are a link between the community and the government healthcare services under the National Rural Health Mission. They are assigned 43 functions with a fixed remuneration for each.
