Thanks to Dr. @Erikhistorian for research early on, @Mother_of_Tanks for editing support throughout, and @GregoryDaddis for insight, particularly into the Pentomic period. The @TheWTFNation leadership provided support to this project, particularly regarding chapter 7.

Finally, the insight of Dr. John Bonin and the vast resources of @USAHEC were critical to the success of this novel.

We are beholden to their wisdom.

During the past two weeks, we’ve released more than 1,000 tweets about this critical moment in our Army’s history. We’ve asked a lot of our audience and your engagement means the world to us.

The period from 1953 to 1961 holds lessons about the psychology of power and the changing nature of global security. Many of those ideas were discussed at length by the #MilTwitter community in response to each #AtomicAgeArmy chapter.

Welcome back! We’re going to start with a little recap because we know some of this (or all of it) is new material for much of our audience and we want to make it easier to enjoy.

Correction: *1961...Not 1981

We are genuinely loving all the positive feedback everyone is giving our #AtomicAgeArmy series this week. I mean, we posted a 100-tweet thread today and you’re all still here demanding more!
Well, you asked and we’re responding — we have enough material for another 5 or 6 chapters!
BUT we’ve also had Twitter difficulties for two days, which we know in our hearts has nothing to do with celebrity accounts or Bitcoin — our #AtomicAgeArmy threads are just too powerful for the platform.
