Lo primero que hay que tomar en cuenta es que una sesión de pósters en un #congreso es un espacio donde hay 50, 100 o más personas presentando su trabajo 👩🏻🏫 y, de entrada, es imposible que alguien los vea todos con detenimiento y cache de qué van 🥴

Using the usual poster template, even a @mikemorrison #betterposter, just doesn’t fit for a virtual poster session, since we will not be standing in front our posters. [2/thread]
Landscape format pdfs require scrolling both vertically and horizontally - not great. We wanted something with vertical-only scroll, that would adapt to different devices (phone/tablet/computer) and which would allow integrated media and hyperlinks [3/thread]

The case: A 54-year old male bus driver with multiple DVTs & PEs on anticoagulation & financial barriers to medication adherence
presented with subacute progressive dyspnea and
lower extremity edema. 2/

Physical exam was notable for hypoxia requiring 4 L O2, elevated JVP and pitting lower extremity edema. Labs showed troponin <0.04 and pro-BNP of 1428. 3/
I quickly made this template for a #betterposter after seeing so many great examples led by @mikemorrison. This uses the {posterdown} #rstats package where you can create a beautifully designed poster, quickly and efficiently, using #markdown. See the 📦at github.com/brentthorne/po…

Hi again all. Some people have been asking for an example of how to do a portrait layout with #betterposter. This is a just a quick draft that may need to be improved, but it's one way portrait COULD be done. Hope it helps. PowerPoint templates to follow later!
