What is @generalmills annual commitment to Black-owned media? Check this out. When the ill-fated app @quibi launched, they had ZERO track record. ZERO data. ZERO metrics. Yet they were able to sell out their $150M inventory. All of these major companies and ad agencies 1/
gave them money. Name me ONE Black-owned media company that could launch and lock up $150M with having to show ZERO DATA? This is how Black-owned media gets treated. I’m having my @blackstarnetwork sales team call General Mills today to ask what they are doing with 2/3
Black-owned media, especially since Golden Grahams is my favorite cereal. #WheresOurMoney #BlackEconomicSocialJustice #BlackOwnedMediaMatters 3/3

God knows exactly what we need at the right time. I was very emotionally spent driving home tonight. My segment on the millions, or perhaps billions that @wellsfargo has cheated Black folks out of was heavy. I saluted @ericadamsfornyc and NYC for refusing to open new accounts 1/7
because of their discriminatory past AND present. I also blasted Black civil rights groups for not demanding more from the company to repay Black folks for the harm they caused. And then my producer tells me that @pastormurph William Murphy wanted me to text him. So I did. 2/7
Now I had already gotten his number from @jamalhbryant. So I hit him up and he texts, “I want to share some new music with you.” So he sends me a link to his new song “Just Us.” Now last week I was on his IG Live for a bit as he played the song but I didn’t hear all of it. 3/7

For the 3rd time in a week, I’ve had people get mad because I’ve not covered a story they say needs attention. NOW do y’all see why this fight for Black-owned media dollars matter? I’m ONE PERSON. I don’t have producers or reporters I can assign to spend weeks investigating. 1/8
And some of these folks demanding I do something don’t even follow me, which means they likely aren’t even members of the #RolandMartinUnfiltered @BlkStarNetwork #BringTheFunk Fan Club. REPORTING costs money. It doesn’t just happen.2/8
So when I am posting about Black-owned media fighting for advertising, I need y’all to RT, repost and share. $322 BILLION is spent annually on advertising, and we COLLECTIVELY get .5% to 1%. The reason no Black-owned media outlet doesn’t do lots of news is $$$. 3/8
