What about a show about a group of people that try to deal with the repercussions of GCPD corruption, brutality and their acceptance of a vigilante that uses deadly forces in anyone in low income neighborhoods, especially the ones doing non violent crimes to survive?
With all the shit we can say about #ARROW, Oliver Queen literally has a arc when he loses his money, goes to prison and learns how jail doesn't fix shit. How people that try to so good behind bars get fucked and when he gets out he tries to give people second chances.
He tries to give a villain the chance to work with the law and be released, between other things. In #DoomPatrol #Cyborg has a conversation with Roni about how going to jail doesn't help take anyone out off crime, someone showing that they care, given help, does.

On this first day of #WomensHistoryMonth I highlight Soror Barbara Jordan. She was the first African American to deliver the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. She also introduced the Presidential Records Act that eventually became a law in 1978.
On this second day of #WomensHistoryMonth I highlight Soror Wilma Rudolph. Despite being told as a child she would never walk again, she became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field during the 1960 Summer Olympics.
On this third day of #WomensHistoryMonth I highlight Soror Dr. Jocelyn Elders. She was the first African American Surgeon General. While in that position she advocated for sexual health and reproductive rights — something which is still taboo to this day.

When shows I watch get cancelled, I always wish I'd have done more to praise them. So this'll be an ongoing thread of shows I like, cancelled and renewed.
I basically stumbled onto #Rise and it had me in my feelings every week. Such a good story and really talented young cast. I had a feeling it wouldn't be renewed, so I was apprehensive about investing. But it was a worthwhile to do so.
#Sirens is one of my favorite shows this season. I went into it expecting a kind of teenage melodrama (like Twilight with mermaids) but it's actually mature and smart. It's a far more engaging story than I expected and I actively anticipate new episodes every week.
