Well, #crypto is full of paranoid skeptics (understandable given all the rugs) so when a site goes down and people can't access the buttons for claiming rewards it's INSTANT PANIC 🚨

The thing is, smart contracts are immutable, and unless the developer uses a kill function, it's still going to function, with or without a website.
And you can access those functions from the appropriate block explorer (based on the chain the contract is on).

A high performance, accurate, & open source #BlockExplorer like #Esplora is strategically important for the #Bitcoin ecosystem. Many current explorers are owned/run by entitles that have been/are hostile to $BTC. It's a social attack vector in times of a contentious split.
For example, let's say an entity is pushing for Bcash2. The Bitcoin chain splits and they start serving blocks from the contentious fork as if it were Bitcoin. Block explorers are an important way to verify for many people - especially those less tech savvy.
My hope is that more individuals & companies will run #BlockExplorers now that there's an easy option to do so.
