🛑On work up diagnosed with Bilateral Pnemothorax.. Gave history of multiple cupping needle therapy by physiotherapist for cervical pain. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin to create suction!
🛑People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. We get a lot of Spondyloarthritis patients coming to us many of them have tried cupping therapy!

1. Severe disease was rare in children and death was extremely rare.
- Children under 19 made up less than 1% of all patients admited with #SARSCoV2 (651 / 69516 patients of all ages)
- Extremely low in-hospital mortality rate (<1% in children vs 27% in adults)

2. All 6 deaths were associated with profound comorbity / concurrent illness.

Maybe he was 25 years ago- the last time he worked in the #NHS.
Since he gave up (& after we'd paid the entirety of his 6+ yrs medical training), he's been a model, a 'TV doctor' & a property speculator. 💰

I know a couple who qualified around the same time as Mr Bull.
They've run an extremely busy 14,000 patient surgery for decades, incorporating GP trainees on site & at Uni on their 'days off'.

About 6 years ago I was diagosed with rare genetic blood #cancer called polycythemia. Since then it’s progressed & become post-polycythemia vera myelofibrosis. 36 months ago I was also diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

I also rely on the British participation in the ERN’s. These are European Reference Networks which allow collaboration across EU member states and they do essential work on #rarediseases making my, & many other ppl’s, treatment possible.
