#Brewers OF Joey Wiemer continues to impress. With the secondbaseman shaded towards bag and down in the count 1-2, he went with pitch and lined it through hole into right for a base hit. He's hitting .444 in fall league so far, (12 for 27) with 3 DB, 1 HR, 4BB, 5K, 2 SB + Good D
Matt Dyer, Tampa Bay prospect in CF just made a highlight spectacular catch, diving parallel to ground to grab a ball and rolled over. Impressive.
Best: Wrigley Field. This is the only ballpark that gets two top features because they are synonymous with Wrigley. They also went in the same year (1937). The hand operated scoreboard and the ivy. #Cubs
Worst: Wrigley Field. Tempted to go with the lights. How great would it be if the Cubs still played all day games and forced MLB to play half the World Series under the sun in 2016? So, it’s the bullpen(s) that where buried under the bleachers. Never mind, it’s the lights.
Best: Miller Park. The roof. Would be easy to go with Bernie’s slide, but the roof is a work of art. #Brewers
The fact that two under .500 @MLB teams are in the playoffs and have a shot at winning the WS is the reason going to 16-team playoff format should be avoided at all costs. Yet, the majority of owners want this and according to Manfred, will likely be the format going forward.
Granted, this year is the exception, but going forward with a 16-team playoff format could result a 79-83 team making the playoffs in the future.

Bernie’s Chalet from Milwaukee County Stadium still exists, it was purchased by Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee after the #Brewers moved to Miller Park and has sat inside their facility ever since.

Correction: There were 2 Bernie’s Chalets. The original sat at County Stadium 1973-84 & the 2nd from 1993-2000. The chalet in the 1st tweet is the 2nd chalet. Both chalets are now at Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee.

100% certain that 20 years from now, fans will still call it Miller Park, similar to how Progressive Field is still widely known as “The Jake.”
To clarify, Miller Park is still Miller Park until the end of this season.

Although the 2016/17 financial results for the Championship are now a season out-of-date, they are the most recent published by the clubs, so people might still be interested in the comparisons as the new season kicks-off. Some thoughts in the following thread.
In contrast to the Premier League, only 6 clubs in the Championship made money, led by #NFFC £32m & #BarnsleyFC £13m. In this very competitive division most clubs over-extend in a bid to reach the lucrative top flight. Largest losses at 2 promoted clubs: #NUFC £47m & #BHAFC £39m.
Some clubs’ figures impacted by significant exceptional items, so #NFFC (£40m) and #ReadingFC (£9m) were boosted by loan write-offs. In contrast, promotion bonuses adversely affected #HTAFC £12m, #NUFC £10m and #BHAFC £9m. Newcastle also booked £22m onerous contract provisions.
