[ENG] #AIMERS - #Bubble

When you listen to it without watching the video it becomes cuter than it really is. The melody is actually very nice to me, but I think the music has too many things here and there, I feel like a lot is happening at once and I can't concentrate well.+++ Image
Being such a brilliant song, putting so many sounds into it feels rushed. The bridge leaves much to be desired, they start to drop nonsense verses that have nothing to do with the song and when it ends it seems like they didn't get anywhere. In general I think this song has no+++
ground and seems to be floating in the air all the time.

[ESP] #AIMERS - #Bubble

Despite being around for over a decade, there are still many misconceptions about cryptocurrencies. This threadwill debunk some common myths about the nature of crypto. #RichQUACK $QUACK #Crypto #bullrun

Myth 2: Cryptocurrencies are only used for criminal activities

While some have been used for illegal activities, #cryptocurrencies are used by millions of people around the world for legitimate purposes such as investing and making purchases. $QUACK

An interesting story on startup bubble and share market.

A lot of monkeys lives near a village.🐒🐒🐒

One day a merchant came to the village to buy these monkeys!🐵🐵🐵

He announced that he will buy the monkeys @ $100 each. 🐵💵

The villagers thought that this man is mad.😇
They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys at $100 each?🤔

Still, some people caught some monkeys and gave it to this merchant and he gave $100 for each monkey. 😬

This news spread like wildfire and people caught monkeys and sold it to the merchant.😬
After a few days, the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys @ 200 each. 🐵💵💵

The lazy villagers also ran around to catch the remaining monkeys!🐒🐒🐒🐒🐒🐒

They sold the remaining monkeys @ 200 each.😋

Riding the Crypto Wave: Navigating Speculative Bubbles & Market Runs for Optimal ROI 💲🌊 #Crypto #markets
If you want to truly understand the world of #crypto, it is essential to study speculation and speculative bubbles. These phenomena occasionally, although less and less frequently, lead to #market-wide runs.
These runs are triggered by a large influx of people and money into the #crypto market, often driven by mainstream FOMO surrounding news of #bitcoin reaching new all-time highs or other major crypto developments.

Very good question.
A quick 6 Tweet thread on some observations on #bubble apps I built for clients. 🔽
Roughly ¼ of apps I built were marketplaces, ¼ social networks, ¼ SaaS solutions, rest Misc.
1/5 of apps used payments.
Most do not need API workflows or more than 5 backend workflows.
80% of my money came from 20% of the apps though. These apps typically have many API workflows and backend workflows.
80% of the complexity therefore comes from 20% of the apps.
People usually want more than what Bubble is capable of and this part is very time consuming.

A few people have asked how I made it to $100/hr as a #bubble freelancer.
This is the strategy I used. 🔽
First: whether it is 80 or 120/hr does not matter much. It is more about getting big projects or a client who has many projects or referrals for you.
More hours >> bigger hourly.
So it is about getting clients to trust you.
People trust you when people believe you are the expert.
Hence sharing bubble content on twitter, youtube, the bubble forum or your own site is one way.
Another way is getting lots of great reviews or testimonials on freelancing marketplaces or linkedin or your own site.

How to create custom inputs in @bubble⭐️

All with no-code, no custom states and no workflows.

🧵👇

#nocode #bubble #bubbleio #ui #buildinpublic
Step 1

Create a ”Align to Parent” group.

This will allow us to add elements with different z-index which we will need for the text to both me non-clickable but also on top of the input element.
Step 2

Add a text element.

The order here is important❗️

If you were to add the input element first, the text would be above the input and users would not be able to click the text to write, not good.

This is the problem - everything ties together, in some ugly ways.

First, let's do some TA. tradingview.com/x/lmjBtqFy/ - we have a macro inverted head and shoulders on the quarterly DXY. So....that's possibly a year, two years? More? Not going to be bullish for crypto, for sure.
Next, we have 3 month BTC - which is just starting to turn for the first time in a long time. Yep....tradingview.com/x/s7Z7H7ok/

Игорь Гром – обычный человек. Image
Image

THREAD

1/10 🧵

As you know, Michael Burry recently sold 98% of his #investment portfolio. Remember that in 2008 he predicted the #collapse of the financial #markets. As always, he cites facts based on fundamental analytics. Will there be a big #crash?
2/10 🧵

1⃣ Elon Musk sold 75% of $BTC;
2⃣ Ray Dalio had taken a short for $10B;
3⃣ Ambiguous movement on the $MSTR #btc wallet and the subsequent resignation of Saylor from the post of CEO;
4⃣ Sales of #MTGox are scheduled for the end of this month.

And much more.
3/10 🧵

#Bitcoin has become a clone of the S&P 500 Index, and all #altcoins follow $BTC, so it is essential to understand what is happening in the global #economy.

I mostly showed you #bubbles rising in aqueous systems. Not so often discussed, also in literature, are bubbles rising in organic phases.
Here's an Argon bubble rising in dichloromethane (DCM).
What is the difference?
#fluiddynamics #chemicalEngineering
A 🧵1/8
#SciComm #WissKomm
Other liquids have different material properties. The density of DCM is larger in comparison to that of water by more than 30%. The viscosity is less than half than that of water, and the surface tension is about 1/3 compared to water.
2/8
All of this leads to another rising behavior, rise velocity, shape of the bubbles, rising path, and so on.
In literature, organic phases are less discussed as using these usually leads to much stronger safety precautions.

I went back and looked at last year. After the JPM conference in January, I probably used the word #bubble at least 200 times talking about the $XBI, #crypto and #EV. Today, I think biotech is at fire sales prices with an opportunity down 60%. The others still have a ways to go.
From the peak:
$XBI is down over 62%
$BTC is down over 57%
$TSLA is down almost 40%

I think biotech offers the best opportunity as #crypto has no real world applications. $TSLA is a very strong and profitable company, but still grossly overvalue by a good 20% or more.
Most biotechs are trading below cash levels. I haven't see valuations this cheap since the bottom of the 202 pandemic and the lows of the 2015 Hillary crash.

2 Our goal is to show, as objectively as possible, the discrepancy between the intrinsic and the current value of the S&P 500 and what it implies for future returns.

3 Our conclusion is that the S&P 500 is not likely to have a positive nominal total return in the next 10 years and a ‘miracle’ would be needed to achieve positive real total returns.

What’s a yield curve? Why is it important? Why the inverted relationship btw bond yields and prices? And why do investors keep obsessing about it?

Everything you wanted to know about bond yields and the yield curve but were too afraid to ask – explained 😊 (27-point thread)👇🧵
1/ You’re probably aware that the 10-Y T-bill yield shot up from 0.5% in July ‘20 to 1.1% in Jan ’21, and then to its 1.7% March peak.
It fell back to 1.2% in Jul, shot up to 1.6% in mid-Oct, and is jumping around from one inflation report to the next.

Why does this matter?
2/ What does it even mean when bond yields rise?

Usually, it is a sign that demand is moving away from T-bills and into other higher-return assets, which is what typically happens during recoveries.

But this time, however, this is also due to higher #inflation expectations.

A short thread on the boom in startups and their valuations:
Interest rates have been low in the US for more than 10 years. The Fed Funds rate has been at 0.25% since 2008, except for a few years during the Trump administration when they rose to 2%. They are back to 0.25% now.
2/
Quantitative Easing (QE) has pumped in trillions of dollars into the US economy.
Clearly, the money has to go somewhere and VCs need returns.
Startups is where some of that money has gone.
3/
The startup party has never had it so good.
Companies with zero profits, no business plan or hope in hell of ever getting profitable, became "unicorns", making their founders, funders, and some employees rich beyond imagination.
Good.

We're in an equity bubble. History doesn't repeat, but it often rhymes....let's look at the parallels that prevailed during the Dot Com #bubble in the late 90's vs today...time for a 🧵👇
Let's start with a summary table of some parallels...they include rapid changes like a reduction in trading costs as well as popular mutual funds (ETFs today) like $ARKK Image
(1) Prolonged time since the prior sustained bear market: bloomberg.com/news/articles/… 90% of day traders are under the age of 40. The absence of a recent sustained large decline in the stock market tends to encourage reckless behaviour amongst market participants.... Image

There has been ample talk about an upcoming market #crash ever since, well, the previous crash.

People point to, among other things, Shiller’s CAPE ratio, at a 38 multiple (second highest ever).

How do we know if we really are in a #bubble? A thread is due.
Let’s dive in👇🧵
1/ Is there anything we can use to tell whether a market is indeed in a bubble? To borrow a quote from The Big Short:

Lawrence Fields: “Actually, no one can see a bubble... that's what makes it a bubble.”

Michael Burry: “That's dumb, Lawrence. There are always markers.”
2/ Let’s examine those “markers” by revisiting what the top authority on market irrationality and exuberance has to say about it – Nobel winner @RobertJShiller

His book Irrational Exuberance anticipated both the 2000 dot-com bubble burst and the 2006 housing bubble burst.
