The absolute audacity of @Douglas4Moray badgering @NicolaSturgeon to ‘answer the question’ when he has consistently avoided answering any questions in every interview ever. @theSNP and @scottishgreens are the only candidates who do answer questions #Leadersdebate #c4debate
@AnasSarwar and @Douglas4Moray cowardly refusal to answer questions on a democratic path to independence makes it transparent just how undemocratic union politics actually is. #NextLeaderOfScotland
@ScottishLabour and @ScotTories are the ones using independence to cause division by refusing to have an honest conversation on the topic and refusing voters the right to choose #NextLeaderOfScotland

I'd absolutely LOVE for the UK to be governed by a coalition of these 5 parties. #C4Debate

Get them to argue, justify and thrash out all their differences to get the best of all their policies.

The hope I would feel for our future!

@MakeVotesMatter - Coalitions are fab.
Oh and I want to move to Scotland.

[Thread] 1/ I spent time examining the two trends #NeverCorbyn and #LiarJohnson. As far as I can see these are the most popular, recurring anti-Corbyn and anti-Johnson trends on Twitter. The following is some interesting, largely descriptive insights into the data #C4Debate
2/ I downloaded around 45,000 tweets, replies and retweets mostly from the past 5 days. As you can see from the graph below, there are more #NeverCorbyn tweets than #LiarJohnson tweets. Perhaps this is surprising when you consider Corbyn's Twitter presence is larger.
3/ The hashtags tend to be quite steady through the day, diminishing only at night time. As I mentioned previously, the majority of the content is anti-Corbyn. Approx 17,000 of the tweets contain the hashtag #LiarJohnson, while approx 28,500 contain #NeverCorbyn

Stewart aced that weakness question by saying he had lots of them... as you could see from the facial expressions in the cutaways of the other candidates #C4debate
In case anyone is wondering - here is the currently planned tariff rate for all cheese including cheddar under No Deal apply from Nov 1st without a deal - €24.9 per 100kg - currently zero from EU obviously... (NB its calculated in euros) #c4debate 🧀 gov.uk/government/pub…
Though I suspect @RoryStewartUK was making point about No Deal tariffs facing U.K. Farmers exporting cheddar to the EU... in which case No Deal WTO MFN tariff would be exactly what we currently apply as members of EU to third countries - a whopping €188.20 per 100kg vs zero now

If you're gearing up for the #C4debate it's a good idea to remind yourself of the damage already being done by Brexit...
And then make sure you're up to speed with the WTO and what trading on WTO terms would mean. (Hint: there's no such thing as a "WTO deal" or a "WTO Brexit")...
And here's why we can't simply replace with trade with the EU with trade with far away places.
