1. Using big words
Do not try to use a higher vocabulary unnecessarily. It may leave a wrong impression in front of the examiner. Instead, only use the words which are relevant and easy for you #IELTS Image
2.Imitate a foreign accent many times, you tend to think that you need to speak in a foreign accent to score more in a speaking test. Instead, focus on speaking clearly and loudly in your natural accent to score well #Canada Image

I chatted with @torontolibrary's Shelve Under podcast before the pandemic about writing science fiction as a political act -- it was in honor of my (explicitly political) book Radicalized, which is a finalist for the CBC's #CanadaReads prize.

The interview is weirdly applicable to the moment we're in (as are the stories in Radicalized, dealing as they do with preppers trying to sit out the end of the world; everyday people trying to wrest control over their technology from distant, failing corporations...)

(...and the limits of individual action in addressing structural racism; and the fundamental evil of privatized health care)

It's one of those moments when I'm at pains to point out that cyberpunk is a warning, not a suggestion.

Edgar Allen Poe wrote "The Masque of the Red Death" in 1842. It's about a plutocrat who throws a masked ball in his walled abbey during a plague with the intention of cheating death.

My novella "The Masque of the Red Death" is a tribute to Poe; it's from my book Radicalized. It's the story of a plute who brings his pals to his luxury bunker during civlizational collapse in the expectation of emerging once others have rebuilt.

Naturally, they assume that when they do emerge, once their social inferiors have rebooted civilization, that their incredible finance-brains, their assault rifles, and their USBs full of BtC will allow them to command a harem and live a perpetual Frazetta-painting future.

Canadian Express Entry – A step by step guide.

Step One: Check your Eligibility

First and foremost, I always suggest that prospective immigrants simulate their profiles to get a feel of what chances they have before venturing through the emotionally draining exercise that
is getting an express entry chance to move to Canada.Check and Simulate your eligibility here: cic.gc.ca/english/immigr… This tool is very accurate and is a good indicator of if you should go ahead to pursue heading to Canada through Express Entry. Lately a score below 435
(Quarter one of 2019, a score of 451 is the benchmark) would suggest looking at other routes like seeking Provincial nomination from one of the many Provinces of Canada.
