people don't agree. It is a difference of opinion. But I know where I stand. I care about left wing values and polices deeply, but the defacto left wing parties now are not leftist and are failing us. I'm willing to be non-defensive about that.

Disabled Canadian 🧵As a Disabled person of Canada I require funding to continue my life. My CHRONIC and PERMANENT Medical Conditions require medication and medical aids to continue my life comfortably. If given financial aid, I would then spend that money in my community.
At the moment, I have been prescribed Vyvanse for the results of my "Brain Injuries" (Plural) Vyvanse is a newer stimulant for treatmet of ADHD and Binge eating. It's expensive. My first bottle of 60 pills cost me $84 and that's with some prescription coverage from my spouse.
That is $84 off my $1,284 per month stipend from WCB. I have to pay for an Anti-epileptic medicine, an antidepressant and now a blood pressure med. Overall, the three different meds I take cost roughly $130 per month. Keeping tally, $1154 for my portion of our bills, Utilities.

It shows that the coercive amendments to MAID in which the Liberals led the rushing through of are meant to be there. It shows that the government is willfully offering disabled people only two choices: forced poverty, or death.

Provinces have already dropped their responsibilities re: disability supports admittedly waiting on the CDB which the Liberals made a big deal out of.

As a disabled person, Since '21 I've had the "option" of using MAID due to the C7 amendments rushed through removing the safeguards surrounding it. (Even before the mental illness option for MAID opens in '23) I wasn't able to prior.

By keeping me trapped in legislated poverty, the government is keeping my quality of life poor. I can't afford basic necessities life therapy, rent or medicine. The gov is actively pushing me toward MAID by keeping my quality of life poor with the only other "option" is MAID.
