As of y'day there were 7,536 #Covid19 patients in English hospitals; up 17.1% in a week.
But 2,425 of those are in London and that's up 45.5%

Strangely, South-East & South-West areas of #England have fewer #Covid19 patients in hospital.

A vague #tsunami was triggered yesterday in the Southern Atlantic at the South #SandwichIslands
Seismic data show a Mw7.5 #earthquake, but aftershocks and observed waves on various stations indicate a much larger (and probably more complex) mechanism.

Right now, it is unclear what actually happend. Aftershocks stretch almost 300km from North to South and tsunami waves of 0.2 - 0.7m have been recorded in the Southern Atlantic & Indian Ocean. Too much for "just" Mw7.5
To at least mimic the potential tsunami, a virtual earthquake was simulated with a wave pattern roughly corresponding to the observed water levels.
This virtual earthquake was estimated to be around Mw8.3 with a 210 km length and a maximum slip of 20m.

Last night we were alerted by relatives to a boat of ~54 people in the Atlantic, heading towards the #Canaries. Spanish & Moroccan authorities are informed. They say they launched a SAR operation but we have no more info. We are worried since we were never able to reach the boat!
We were just informed that an asset from the Spanish coastguard spotted a boat carrying around 50ppl. A rescue vessel is on it's way and should reach the boat in about an hour.
We hope this is the boat that we were alerted about.
