The "caravan" IS a national security threat. Anytime a group of thousands tries to storm your border it’s a national security threat. We do not know who these people are, their criminal histories or their gang/terror affiliations. Your virtue signaling is brazen stupidity.
If elected Democrats were forced to personally sponsor illegal immigrants + personally pay the bills associated to their use of medical care, welfare and publicly funded facilities then they’d very quickly end illegal immigration.
Fun Fact: A section of wall in Texas installed by the Bush Admin. reduced crossings by 89% over 5 years there. If Trump’s entire Border Wall reduced crossings by 50% then it would save Taxpayers $64 Billion for OUR infrastructure, OUR tax cuts and OUR technological advancement.
This is not a caravan, of course there will be emotional stories from a few migrants leaving horrible violence but most say they want to work in the US and send money back to their country. What they’re doing is best described as an economic invasion and it cannot be allowed.
Emotional manipulation is employed using a few migrant stories that’re truly horrible to make it seem the whole group is in the same position. In reality it’s a mix of good people with valid asylum claims, criminals, gang members & economic invaders. There’s very little vetting.
As the son of a Cuban legal immigrant mother I’m sympathetic to valid asylum claims but:
• We don’t border Central America, we should not be their asylum port
• There’s no war going on or mass genocide that we’re saving them from
