Today I visited a shelter in Chicago housing immigrant children who have been separated from their parents because of the Trump Administration’s zero tolerance policy. This heartbreaking situation has only been further complicated by Trump’s Executive Order.
While visiting these children, I delivered handwritten letters and cards from Chicago-area kids and families to show them they are not alone. It was a small gesture that meant a lot to these kids who have been through so much. #cardsforkids 
I encourage kids across the country to show children who’ve been separated from their parents that we're thinking of them & we care. Send your cards to:
