"this climate thing is a very rigid ideology..." -@joerogan

"It's a religion....Alex Epstein, who wrote Fossil Future, comments about this....The climate pseudoreligion is based on a characterization of nature as...a hapless, defenseless, fragile virgin." -@jordanbpeterson
More on the false view of Earth @jordanbpeterson calls the "fragile virgin" and I call "the delicate nurturer."
Why the "fragile virgin" / "delicate nurturer" view leads to catastrophizing. For examples check out #catastrophizing

1/When Covidmania was kicking off, I asked whether one should indulge people's unhinged hysteria about a disease with a 99.7% survival rate where the proposed mitigations (masks, lockdowns, forced jabs) were not supported by objective data.
2/In other words, I was asking, do you indulge crazy people in their doom-and-gloom, #catastrophizing fantasies, or do you tell people they're acting nuts and need to stop?
3/The worldwide consensus, based on the censorship and silencing of only one side of the conversation (critical thinkers in #antivax #unvaccinated camp), resulted not only in the lunatics taking over the asylum (the "asylum" here is the literal world), but doing so with impunity.

Catastrophizer @ClimateOfGavin has for years been smearing me on Twitter without any argument.

Now he thinks he's found some silver bullet to discredit me.

Here's a quick debunking of what Gavin says and a broader exposé of his embarrassing intellectual conduct on Twitter.

Here's the post @ClimateOfGavin called "flat out 💩 from Epstein."

It's a quote from 1986--keep track of the year, as Gavin will soon confuse it with 1988--where the NYT reports on claims made by James Hansen. I shared a chart of those claims vs. reality.
My point in this post, and in my #Catastrophizing series more broadly, is that the institutions and people we trust to give us expert knowledge give us wild overestimates of the negatives of fossil fuels.

This clearly happened with the @nytimes in 1986.

Update: My doctor lowered my pain meds AGAIN last month KNOWING how poorly I am tolerating this forced wean. Despite being forced off my meds they made me see the "#addiction doctor" to assess my "risk" of addiction & that appt was yesterday.
During that visit he actually said "I need to just get used to the #pain & I'll be fine", he said " everyone's going this #opioid free route & you have to deal with it" & a few other absurd things. I was literally in tears the entire appointment...
He asked if I wanted to "see someone & possibly get meds" because I was in tears from pain, feeling afraid, unheard & ignored, to which I explained that this is NOT an emotional or mental issue that it's purely a horrific pain & suffering issue... I politely declined the help.
