پتھر, نوشتہ جات اور فن پارےموجود ہیں جوبدھ مت عہدقدیم کی زبان، لکھائی کا نظام اور نقوش کاناقابل یقین خزانہ مہیا کرتے ہیں۔
شاہراہ قراقرم کےراستےجب آپ گلگت بلتستان میں داخل ھوتےہیں تو تانگیر اور داریل وادیوں کےدرمیان بدھ مت کےمشہور آثارِقدیمہ پائےجاتےہیں۔

شتیال طویل عرصے سے "قدیم بدھسٹ چٹان کے نقش و نگار" کے لیے ایک مقام کے طور پر مشہور رہا ھے لیکن یہ نقش و نگار موجود ھونے سے پہلے بھی وسطی ایشیاء سے گزرنے والے تاجر اور زائرین چٹانوں میں اپنے نام اور اوقات تراش لیتے تھے۔

This week I was able to travel to 4 districts in #GilgitBaltistan to meet freelancers and individuals working at various private organizations. Internet issues are far more worrying than I knew previously.

Within the densely populated Gilgit city, there are a number of neighborhoods that don't even get signals of one of the major telecom operators that provide 3G/4G services. In areas of Sonikot, you have to get to the roof to catch signals.

The representatives at an SCO franchise in NLI Market were unable to explain the speed to expect for subscribing to a certain data package. They kept insisting, a separate 4G device that costs Rs. 3,500 can fix the issue. It was out of stock.

Members of the Chitral Scouts, 1920
The Chitral Scouts were raised in 1903. Commanded by British officers on secondment from regular Indian Army units, they were responsible for policing Chitral, a state first occupied by the British in 1895. During the 3rd Afghan War (1919),

they remained loyal to the British and to the Mehtar of Chitral, Shuja-al-Mulk, helping to resist the Afghan incursion across the frontiers of their mountainous homeland.
The scouts still exist today and are currently engaged in fighting Islamic extremists in this remote northern region of Pakistan.
