This is what’s wrong with populism. People with very good intentions, but no training, knowledge or context want to decide what the nation’s leaders should do in foreign policy.
It is frustrating and lawless for Trump to force G7 leaders and their huge entourage to stay at Dorval. But the citizens of Canada do not decide foreign policy by popular vote, because the citizenry do not have all the available information to make the decisions.
Just like the average citizen is unqualified to perform brain surgery, so is the average citizen unqualified to decide foreign policy, especially by popular vote. We do not have enough information. Leaders and diplomats and foreign relations staff do have the information.

What is the job of government? Think about that for a moment. What should the government be doing? What are we paying them to do? 1/25

The Constitution Act of 1867 says the role of government in Canada is "peace, order, and good government". It sounds a bit quaint, but it is included in the Constitution Acts of many Commonwealth countries, like Australia, New Zealand, etc. 2/25
Americans have "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". Sounds very free-wheeling and individualistic. Given the sh*t-show in the US, I'll have me some peace, order and good government, thanks. 3/25

We have a dilemma Canada. Keep focussing your rage at CPC whose bots and hired operatives are out in full force goading as many progressives as they can. Or ignore the CPC and start focussing on the progressives who are intentionally working to get CPC elected.
Why would progressives work towards destroying the only viable alternative to CPC?

Power.

It’s addictive and when given a chance to grab some at others’ expense, only those with integrity and a strong character refuse.

A true Progressive doesn’t value power over human rights.
There is no circumstance that justifies sacrificing human rights to gain power. It’s the central dogmatic principle & belief connecting all progressives.

A CPC win will result in multiple human rights lost.
