CAA bill pass பண்ண பிறகு திரிபுராவில் போராட்டம் துவங்கியதும் அவ்வூர் தலைவர்களை தில்லி அழைத்துள்ளார் அமித்ஷா... they demanded the same.. ILP..

Parliament's #WinterSession was not just about debates and ruckus, but also about spreading misinformation and falsehood.
1. Amit Shah blamed the Congress Party for dividing India on the basis of religion – but historians and textbooks suggest otherwise. @himansshhi

2. Has the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh changed his stance on #CitizenshipAmendmentBill? Here's a #NetaFactCheck of these claims made by BJP's JP Nadda in Rajya Sabha today.

But Chair states that he has perused the Bill and it is order and discussion starts

Bangladesh had 22% of Hindu population in 1951. In 1961-18.5%.
In 1981 -12%, in 1991-10%, in 2001 reduced to 9%.. why is it on a constant decline.. where would they take shelter if not in India?
#CitizenshipAmendmentBill
Atrocities on Hindus of #Bangladesh 👇🏼
Correction, it was *29.7% during partition.

Policy watchers, serious question about the #CitizenshipAmendmentBill. Any provisions addressing these scenarios:

1. Muslim converts to a Minority religion in Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan - then asks for Indian citizenship?
2. If a minority is given Indian citizenship on religious grounds and then converts to Islam?

3. Is there a vetting process for documents that fraudulently claim a migrant to be of a certain religion? Not too hard to forge identities in Pak, Bangladesh and Afghanistan for sure!
Seriously, is any of this addressed?

1. On October 15, 2019, I took part in a panel discussion turned debate at NALSAR on the topic "Do we need a Nationwide NRC?" wherein I touched upon the NRC as well as the #CitizenshipAmendmentBill.
2. The other discussants/panelists were Shri Aman Wadud, Advocate from Assam and Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor of NALSAR. Here is the link to the video of the entire discussion on #NRC and #CitizenshipAmendmentBill. Thank you @chandri5366!
3. Shri Aman Wadud opened the discussion with his views that there was no need for a Nationwide NRC since illegal immigration is a myth. I took d position that I support a nationwide NRC in principle after the flaws in the process have been removed and that the #CAB is justified.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhury calls #CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019 regressive,anti-minority. @AmitShah hits back: says Bill not even .001%anti minority. Says will respond to every point raised by Congress but tells them not to `Walk Out' when he is responding. @IndiaToday
@AmitShah @IndiaToday TMC's Saugata Roy says #Constitution in danger. As MPs oppose, Prof Roy says: will you hit me now. Come hit me. Claims #CitizenshipAmendmentBill discriminatory. 1.Those who oppose d #CitizenshipAmendmentBill r latching on to d rights of Indian citizens of d North East to preserve d indigenous identity of their States, while a few months ago d NRC was painted as a xenophobic exercise wen it was meant to protect d identity of d North East.
2. Apparently, according to these geniuses, the North East has the right to protect its identity against demographic inversion (which I agree with), but the rest of the India enjoys no such right because *that* would be xenophobic. Very convenient.
3. The NRC and #CitizenshipAmendmentBill have thoroughly exposed the utter hypocrisy of this Janusian fork-tongued creature called "Indian secularism" like never before. The agenda of depriving Indic communities of their sole natural homeland is on stark public display.

@krithikasivasw @rahulkanwal Nothing Wrong, It only welcomes - Indian religions, originated in Greater India n partly of Indo-European origins, they tend to share a number of key concepts, such as dharma, karma, reincarnation among others. The main Indian religions are Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism
@krithikasivasw @rahulkanwal It excludes Non Indian Religions and just not muslims. It excludes Middle Eastern religions: Abrahamic religions these consist mainly of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Bahá'í Faith. They are named for the patriarch Abraham, and are unified by the practice of monotheism.
@krithikasivasw @rahulkanwal Also correctly excludes -
Iranian religions, partly of Indo-European origins, include Zoroastrianism, Yazdânism, Uatsdin, Yarsanism and historical traditions of Gnosticism. #CitizenshipAmendmentBill

If the govt really wants to help persecuted minorities of neighbouring countries, then why have 62,000 Tamil refugees from #SriLanka, who are refugee camps in TN, been left out of the #CitizenshipAmendmentBill? They are mostly Hindus and Christians.
What about the 100,000 Tibetans, also living in India? Most of them are Buddhists.

This outrage is not going to work. The bill will be passed. The root problem of Assam is still not being recognised by the agitators because most are driven by a agenda and see some potential is consolidating a seat for themselves in the future. #citizenshipamendmentbill
The literate youth of assam has not much concern for their land. Most are intoxicated by the beautiful weather or by the beautiful women or by the beautiful natural beauty of assam. They soon leave assam thinking they'd be better off being servants outside their motherland.
Once they secure a job they believe their life is complete. Their social debt, they believe, has been paid. They believe now that they earn they are successful. Their social debt do not include examining the identity crisis of their culture.

Assam erupts in rage over #CitizenshipAmendmentBill. BJP offices are being attacked. Posters of Narendra Modi and Sarbananda Sonowal have been torn and their effigies burnt. Police have lathicharged, fired tear gas and rubber bullets. Slogans of "BJP go back" are being raised.
Looking at people through the prism of Hindutva is what will prove to be BJP's undoing, as the situation in Assam has shown right now. Religion can never be a binding factor. If you didn't learn that from Pakistan breaking into two countries, you will never get it. #BharatBandh
Did you know that there have been many instances of students from colleges dropping out and joining ULFA just because of this #CitizenshipAmendmentBill? Did you know how long it took to end the insurgency there? And do you realise that what was dead is being resurrected now?
