Report on a #Delta outbreak in elementary #school

80% of kids in front 2 rows infected!

- Can we pls take school precautions seriously?
- Kids <12 yrs unvaxxed & vulnerable
- Don't take off your mask (to read aloud)!
- Wear a (good) mask **correctly** 👇

2/ This MMWR report ⬆️ seems scary & catches attention. Good. We need to pay attention.

- Delta is very contagious & kids get sick
- Vax is critical for everyone possible
- But vax isn't silver bullet alone. Even vaxxed can transmit
The good news next ...

3/ #Schools can help w/ layers:
- Good, tight masks reduce room risk & at inhale
- Also distance, good ventilation, room filtration, outside meals

Risky w/ unvaxxed kids in schools at all -- but no question if schools & teachers don't take this seriously

This is absolutely grotesque. Shame on @TVDSB & the teachers who enforced it.

"You'll be forgiven if you didn't know that some children had to be silent while eating their lunches & snacks... #Enforcement of the no-talking-during-lunch rule varies.."

"Some #teachers are concerned that #COVID19 will spread further and faster if kids are allowed to talk, said @etfopresident, who represents Thames Valley's 3,600 teachers as head of the Elementary Teachers Federation of #Ontario."

"In a Grade 2 #classroom, they have a hard time sitting still to begin with, and asking them not to speak, they look like they're being #punished...

Other teachers put on a movie or #television show to get the kids to focus on the front of the room, and not each other." ImageImageImageImage

Field trips help children connect with the real world & erase #classroom boredom. These trips contribute to their understanding of the world, broaden their perspectives and make learning new concepts fun.
Given the constraints of conducting physical field trips in the current environment, we at #NuttysDen conducted a virtual tour of our premises, for the students of @pathfinders_ps
There have been multiple studies that highlight the positive impact that #pets have on the mental & physical development of #children - children that grow up with pets tend to have higher self esteem, develop better congnitive and social skills.

Time for the jellybean illusion! You don’t actually need a jellybean, just some type of chewable candy, preferably with different colors & flavors. M&M’s: NOT be a good choice, gold bears: fine.

Get comfy, get your candy out, and choose two pieces of different colors/flavors. Pick up one of those two, it doesn’t matter which.
Now, STEP 1: PINCH YOUR NOSE so you can no longer breathe in or out through your nose. You can use a swimmers pincher or even a clothespin too, but using two fingers is probably more comfortable and pretty easy.

Any #Edutech Company want to develop the following idea? (#LMS #coaching #startup). The goal is to develop a Culture of Collaboration by implementing Focus Group activity driven #Learning over #Orator based traditional #teaching approach. This is also to discourage
the orator based #DesignThinking #Workshops and make it more participatory. The idea is that, one person will use the #app over screen sharing & others will take down behavioral notes. But unfortunately people forget to take notes & stare at the screen following the user. So I
think a timer is required that fades out the screen if anyone is idle beyond 10 sec. Also everyone should write in the same chat window but later should be able to segregate chats by name to view each other's perspective. #investor #usability #ux #product
