I guess this specifically addresses the niche audience that want an exact replica of Milk without the lactose, cholesterol laden dairy fat etc etc and are seemingly OK with the horde of chemicals that gives the taste, texture.

The entire Plant based meat replacement category which showed a lot of investor interest over the last two years seems to be slowing down significantly.
A number of major international players in their recent quarterly results have all showed a decline in sales. The reasons being that there is a lot of trials but very poor repeats. An article detailing this :
