In questo articolo di @lucianocapone si dice che avendo ridotto l'estrazione di gas naturale di 4 mld smc l'anno rispetto al 2014 (anno invasione Crimea), l'Italia stia facendo un danno all'ambiente perché bisogna bruciare più carbone e olio combustibile ilfoglio.it/economia/2022/…
La soluzione cui si auspica è di ripristinare i livelli di estrazione di almeno quell'anno, se non addirittura del 2002, pari a oltre il doppio del 2014. Non viene presa in considerazione invece l'opzione rinnovabili,
che pure proprio nello stesso lasso di tempo in Italia aveva visto una crescita formidabile. 4 mld smc di gas fanno ~22 TWh utili, circa l'attuale output annuale da FV per l'Italia. Numero che dal 2013 ristagna a seguito di una crescita fino ad allora fenomenale.

OPPORTUNITY: Deep Tech has the potential to accommodate a lot more funding in Europe & will allow investors to participate in the 3rd wave of tech infrastructure innovation -after the original VC silicon wave of the 60s/70s & the Cloud infra wave post dot-com burst

🤪 The market is hot. Year-on-year growth in climate tech investment is 210%, with more than $60bn invested in startups in H1 2021 alone. 14¢ of every VC dollar is now invested in climate tech.

📈 Megadeals are on the rise, and driving much of this recent growth. The average deal size in H1 2021 is now $96m, nearly quadruple the US$27m it was one year prior. 3/8
We've now talked to over 100 #climate #startup #founders for @enduring_planet and we're seeing a pattern. A 🧵
(1) First and foremost, there is incredible innovation happening in the space. The pace at which new #climatetech is entering the market and getting validation is staggering. We are truly at the early days of a New Climate Economy. I AM SO EXCITED 🍿🚀
(2) unfortunately, most #founders in #climatetech don't think holistically about the capital they're raising to finance their businesses. The vast majority (over 90%) are going exclusively after VC, without considering non-dilutive options
This was what I worried would happen with @Booker4KY. Not be on the offensive with @RandPaul, who's an abysmal, but only on the defensive when need to. Just like the @KyDems always do, which is a losing strategy. But Booker's running on policies that are materially popular!!!
Here's a fun fact about running in an election... If you run as an Aggressive & Offensive Candidate with Policies that help the People & their Material Well-being, then you win.

Thread on new @CFTC #climaterisk report. Here are the highlights: First & perhaps most importantly, this report was a) commissioned by a majority-Republican federal regulatory agency and b) represents the consensus views of banks, investors, big companies, academics & enviros 1/

3/ Notably, the CFTC #climaterisk report does not just make recommendations to the CFTC, and is not limited by the jurisdiction of this agency (commodities, derivatives markets, etc). Also notable: the recommendations aren't binding. If Biden wins, they'll be a blueprint at best.
