Two years ago my mum died in hospital from v rare #chemo complications Bcs of covid rules we hadnā€™t been able to see her during her 3 wk hospital stay apart from briefly in her last 48 hrs on compassionate grounds. We had just come out of the horrific winter20/1 wave
2/Of course I wanted to see my mum prior to that though initially the gravity of her symptoms werenā€™t known. I WANTED her to be on a ward with restricted visits & mask mandates bcs I appreciated she & other patients on the oncology ward were very vulnerableā€¦

So many people stopped wearing a mask simply because ā€˜everyone else didā€™.

Iā€™m sorry but thatā€™s a pitiful excuse to no longer engage in behaviour that helps keep public spaces safe.

Start again. Refuse to believe this is a lost cause.

Of course many people are exempt from mask wearing for health reasons. Which is even more of a reason why the people that can, should. Letā€™s protect each other in the ways we are able. #Covid19
The government and media should be doing so much more. Itā€™s negligent. But many individuals that have stopped wearing a mask already know that many people in power arenā€™t moral. You talk about it often. Stop putting that knowledge to the side when it suits you.
