I decided to write about my current health situation as I find it much therapeutic to pour my heart out. It also makes me stress free and helps me stay strong on my current situation.
Here is a self-reflective thread-

What started as someone bringing COVID at home, has totally turned my life upside down. I had COVID quite early within my postpartum period (3 months postpartum) and that’s why probably it has resulted in significant post-COVID sequelae symptoms and had bio markers appearing.

I won’t call it #LongCovid or #CLL yet, unless doctors officially diagnose. I am still waiting to get an appointment with the Haematologist from the public hospital. It will probably take some time to get the appointment. Meanwhile I’ve been speaking with doctors in my circle.

BTK inhibitors have transformed the lives of many patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and other lymphomas. These drugs "exploded" onto the scene in 2013-2014 and have fundamentally changed the way we treat the disease. What many people don't know is how it all happened..
In 2004 I became convinced that turning off B-cell receptor signaling would cause cancerous b-cells to stop growing. This theory came into focus based upon an understanding of epstein barr virus protein LMP2A, EBV relationship to Hodgkin lymphoma, and other breadcrumbs
I decided the best way to turn off the receptor would be to use drugs which shut off the signaling pathways emanating from the B cell receptor - notably SYK.

Fortunately Ron Levy M.D. of Stanford was willing to let me test the hypothesis in the laboratory

CLL - Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia.

Depleted Lymphocyte B & T cells from persistent SARS-CoV viral infection of renal epithelium cells will no doubt lead to acquire all kinds of immunity dysfunction and will appear as CLL.

Patients are being tested for digestive disorders and diagnosed with CLL months after a SARS infection that nobody is testing for or tracking - because attempting to detect the viral persistence is invasive procedure.
What I really like about this study from just before the pandemic is use the term “repeated insults”!

Are they discussing lymphopenia draining naïve t-cells during graft procedure? YES! Guess what persistent renal infection would look like! Donated liver!

BREAKING NEWS: Today AstraZeneca released results of the AZD7442 PROVENT Phase III pre-exposure prophylaxis trial. This is the first trial to show significant effectiveness of monoclonal antibodies in pre-exposure protection against #COVID19 in a high-risk population.
The study showed a 77% reduction in the development of symptomatic #COVID19. One-time shots are expected to provide 6-12 months of protection.
Immunocompromised individuals, which include #CLL patients, have not always had a robust response to the #COVID19 vaccine. This is huge progress for gaining protection against #COVID19 in our #CLL community.

#HematologyTweetstory 9: the “Philadelphia” chromosome! Whole books have been written about this saga; we’ll focus on some of the most interesting highlights. A shout-out to @LuskinMarlise – former @PennMedicine fellow & now @DanaFarber colleague - for suggesting this topic. /1
The key discovery in a "nutshell" (karyo=nut in Greek): in 1959, David Hungerford (1927-1993) and Peter Carey Nowell (1928-2016) @Penn found a peculiar-looking tiny chromosome in cells from 7 patients w/ a disease then called “chronic granulocytic leukemia", now known as #CML./2
Nowell, a Philadelphia native, had graduated from @Penn in 1952 and then returned to join the faculty in 1956 after doing radiobiology research while in the US Navy. He started working on leukemia, not really sure where his research was going, then had a happy accident./3
