1) Empêché de travailler suite au coup d’Etat militaire au Brésil, Oscar Niemeyer (communiste) s’exile en Europe en 1967, puis à l’invitation du président Houari #Boumediene, s’installe à #Alger en 1969 où il passera 6 ans de sa vie jusqu’en 1975.
2) Le Pdt Boumediène demande à Niemeyer de développer un urbanisme qui donnera au monde une vision moderne de l’Algerie, en rupture avec l’architecture coloniale française. Jason Oddy a séjourné en 2013 en Algérie pour 📸 cet héritage architectural moderniste.
