Andrew F, who was on the bus, updated the Chamber's posts about their timeline and also the group had a "very good meeting" with MP @ArnoldViersen. This was on Feb. 17, after #Ontario declared a state of emergency and the #EmergenciesAct was in place.

Just to follow this up, this County and some of it’s small towns are among the lowest vaccination rates in Alberta.

1\ Most of the missing rifles stolen from Savage Arms were recovered in Peel region. That's a very positive development. Absolutely wild that the #convoytoottawa2022 claimed the guns were in Ottawa. Then again, this is a crowd that claims vaccines are killing children so...
2\ 2-3000 missing guns in the middle of an occupation of the capital city made a hell of a talking point and underscored the severity of the last few days, but I'm glad we can put this particular piece of alarmism to rest.
3\ Let's not lose sight of the fact that while the convoy was wrong alleging a state plot to entrap them, the state actually has done, is doing and will continue to do those sort of things. It's best not to gaslight even incorrect suspicions over nefarious state involvement.
1\ What @vaush misses is that the organizers weren't just staging a strike, or a blockade as part of some call for justice, they published an MOU at the start of their occupation calling specifically for the government's regulation and called the GG to endorse a citizen council.
2\ To be clear, I'm a "Blair Mountain enjoyer" and love me some radical labour politics, but if a striking labour group in Canada were to frame their core demand around as a total change in government, well-- I'd expect the state to use all available options to stop them.
3\ @Vaush compared the convoy to 'striking Dairy Queen workers'. You know, if it was just a labour action, he'd be right, but it's not. They demanded the governor general recognize a citizen council as a new government and occupied the capital with trucks. aljazeera.com/news/2022/2/7/…
