Climate change is the most important story in human history and we are now at its most important moment.

I don't know all the answers or what should come next. But I do know how to find them.

A thread and a proposal:
In order for us to know what we need to do in detail, we first need to imagine ourselves achieving the world we all want: One that centers racial and environmental justice, human health and ecosystem integrity.

We need to imagine ourselves not only surviving, but thriving.
There are an infinite number of possible zero-carbon worlds in 2050 that don’t result in dystopia.

Success stories are going to look very different for subsistence farmers in Mozambique and teenagers in Brooklyn. But all those visions have insight into the world we need.

"There is a confirmation bias among the largest group of journalists out there who really pride themselves on being centrists. There is an absolute fetish for centrism. ... The threat of deep change really is a threat to most people in the journalism profession."

"The science is the ultimate binding constraint on human civilization, but we perfectly have it within our power to destroy human civilization."
