Delhi Hospitals are reporting cases of a rare condition in children as a post-covid complication - multi inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C). Yet, doctors have assured that the affected children have responded to the treatment and the mortality rate remains low.

MIS-C is a rare immune reaction that occurs around 4 to 6 weeks after a mild or asymptomatic coronavirus infection. Symptoms include fever, eye infection, diarrhea, stomach ache and nausea. In extremely rare cases, the condition can lead to a multiple organ failure. #CoronaUpdate
Notably in early June, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi set up a children's ward suffering from MIS-C. Dr. Dhiren Gupta said they have seen 52 such patients in 4 weeks. Mostly kids aged 4-16 were affected. Worryingly, he said the condition led to cardiac issues in 70% patients.
Karnataka HC will shortly hear a batch of petitions related to COVID-19.
