I often hear, and have felt myself like the need in India and South Asia is so great right now, but I didn’t know where my donation would be of the most use. While it is wonderful to donate to large international NGOs and other respected organizations, I wanted to feel like my /1

A week ago, we had a 20 yr old woman in the ICU, who was 5 months pregnant. She was a high risk patient. We tried saving both the mother & child. Obstetricians, intensivists, anesthetists all were extensively discussing her line of treatment.

One day, while on rounds, her O2 saturation started dropping. We increased the O2 flow, calmed her, asked her to take deep breaths. She became stable only to deteriorate a few hours later.
With no option left, we had to sedate her & put her on mechanical ventilation.

There she was, a 20 year old, who was soon going to be a mother, lying on the bed with tubes in her mouth and IV lines running from her hands. We waited for her to get better in the following days, but ultimately had to deliver the baby through a C section.

In what is being seen as the first such case in India, eight Asiatic lions have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at a zoo in Hyderabad. Nehru Zoological Park (NZP) got to know about this on April 29. #NehruZoologicalPark #Asiaticlions #COVID19India

Bench: What is the mechanism for supplying oxygen and who decides the quantity?
We delivered 50 Khichdi Dabbas today. It was a Palak khichdi. Used the Matta rice which is easier to digest and was made in ghee so that it is mild on the stomach. Our initial plan was to give food to policemen on duty & ambulance drivers. #Update (1)
On our way to Sasoon Hospital we have to policemen and to rag pickers. As we reached Sasoon compound we realized the family members of the patient been treated at Sasoon also needs food desperately. #Update (2)
The family members of the patients are usually found in & around this place. From tomorrow we are also providing food to these families in Sasoon & other govt hospitals in Pune. #Update (3)
