TESTS vs AN ATTACK | a thin line

[A Smallanyana Thread]

#CultureShock @VumaFM
We go through a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings of abandonment. Praying but feeling like your request is queuing in line holding ticket #5047 and uMvelingqangi is still dealing with #0008.

At times we lose our minds, literally, and become veterans of psychiatric wards.
We struggle to differentiate between a test and an attack.

To tackle these two concepts we would first have to go to the basics of the english language and define the difference between the two.

IDLISO PT. 2 | 👀 Vuka Maw'lele 👀

[A Smallanyana Thread]

Disclaimer: The information shared below is not done with the intention to give people ideas on how THEY should use Idliso on others but it's done with the sole intention of helping those bound by Dliso-inflicted consequences or suspecting ukuthi badlisiwe.
I'll be the first to admit that at some point in my life I shunned topics related to the one discussed in this thread. Topics such as izilwane, imikhokha, izichitho, etc. In my mind and heart of hearts these things were said by paranoid individuals...

Until I was a victim.

IDLISO Pt.1 | 🥩 Dream Steaks, "Bamba Nal'igawulo", and Guilty Pleasures 👅🍑🍆🤫

[A Smallanyana Thread]

During our discussion on Idliso, based on a tweet I posted this past week, realised a lot of people are going through the most without seeing that so much in their lives is Dliso-Inflicted.

I don't claim to be an expert on the topic 🙏 but will share the little I know. Let's Go!
IDLISO is Umuthi whose original purpose & intent was for the good. It was not given to just anyone who came seeking it. It was only given to those who would genuinely use it for the good of the family, a tribe, a nation - sometimes with the consent of the one who would ingest it.

UMKHOKHA (Pt. 1) | 🎠🎡🎢 a Family Merry-Go-Round 🎠🎡🎢

[A Smallanyana Thread]

#CultureShock @VumaFM
UMKHOKHA is a negative, destructive, and sometimes deadly repetitive pattern that plagues a family.

The root of Umkhokha comes from past negative occurrences/events that happened in the family and were never dealt with or resolved.
You know it's Umkhokha because whatever negative, destructive, or deadly occurrence/ event it is, it repeats itself over and over again in the family.

Don't know how to say this in English, but UMKHOKHA Uyavalwa! It is not a life sentence to the family. There's a way out.

My story starts in a small town from the northern region of the warm vibrant and culturally diverse #India.

Born as 3rd daughter in a culture where birth of a daughter is resented by many, my parents had to deal with 'eerie' solutions from society to get rid of the "burden" that I was about to become. But, my visionary parent-warriors had their armours on! 😇

This #BIWisdom Friday I'd like to explore concepts of a #DataCulture. What do *you* think it is? How is it sustained by #Success and #Value? Does support from #BILeadership with a #CDO help? How important are the #Data #skills (maybe especially Literacy)? Join is at 1PM EST
Just a few minutes until this week's #BIWisdom. Join us to discuss #Data #culture . What might it be, how do you use it, how can you value it, or know if it is working.
Happy #BIWisdom to us all. I hope everyone had a fine week.
