Do you require an #Engineering Degree to join the "#Usability Engineer" post in #Corporate or #Design #Degree holders can also apply?

Recently I saw a lot of opening for Usability #Engineers in Indian #IT #companies. So this query came to my mind, is Usability Engineer
an appropriate term in IT or should it be called Usability #Analyst? A lot of Bachelors of #Interaction Design and Bachelors of #Product Design progress to become Usability Analyst in IT. In such cases would it be appropriate to call Bachelors of Design as Engineers?
How would this affect CMMI, ISO, Accessibility Act, Hazard & risk and other such Standards?
